It is my privilege to introduce myself as the Head of School of MDTC, based at the Louth campus.
I hold a core educational belief that our main purpose is to work with parents to provide students with improved life chances; supporting students to develop into self-reliant, life-long learners. This not only maximises their chances of academic success but provides them with a solid foundation to be successful in every area of their life.
I am constantly seeking to improve the educational experience for the young people in our care and welcome the opportunity to discuss ways in which this might be achieved with parents and other members of the community.
At MDTC we pride ourselves on our high standards: which we achieve through our academic programme, sports and arts activities and community based work. The development of the individual is of the utmost importance to us; providing support structures through form tutors, academic mentors, student support assistants, counsellors and peer mentors as well as a highly commended Additional Needs Department and a Gifted and Talented Programme underpins such support.
I believe that we provide unrivalled opportunities here at MDTC; I would invite you as parents and potential students into our College – to look around, and discover what we are able to offer you.
